What is a Bosnian PDV number and what is its format?

The UINO VAT identifier is exactly 12 digits. Internationally it is written as BA plus those digits, for example BA 2011 3359 0005. BA and BIH are accepted as prefixes.

Is a 13-digit JIB the same as the PDV number?

No. The tax administration uses a 13-digit JIB for direct tax. The UINO taxpayer database identifies PDV, excise and customs with a 12-digit number, often labelled JIB (VAT broj). This tool accepts only the 12-digit UINO number.

When is the number valid?

VALID means the database returned the same 12 digits and the PDV flag is yes. A business that is active only for excise or customs, without PDV, is not a valid PDV number.
