UAE TRN Validator (Federal Tax Authority)
Enter a 15-digit UAE Tax Registration Number. VIESAC checks it on the Federal Tax Authority public verification at tax.gov.ae. Prefixes AE, ARE, UAE and TRN are accepted.
How UAE TRN verification works
In the United Arab Emirates, VAT is 5% and the Tax Registration Number (TRN) is exactly 15 digits. The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) publishes a public check on tax.gov.ae. You can type the digits alone or with AE, ARE, UAE or TRN in front.
The UAE is not in the EU VAT system, so a TRN cannot be checked in EU VIES. VIESAC sends the number to the FTA verification. VALID means the register returned a legal name. A wrong security code on the FTA page is retried and is not treated as an invalid TRN. The FTA does not publish a check digit for the 15 digits.
Questions about the UAE TRN
What is the format of a UAE TRN?
A UAE Tax Registration Number is exactly 15 digits, for example 100275510400003. AE, ARE, UAE and TRN are accepted as prefixes. The FTA does not publish a checksum, so only the length is checked before the lookup.
Can I verify a UAE TRN in EU VIES?
No. The United Arab Emirates are outside EU VIES. The number is checked on the Federal Tax Authority site tax.gov.ae. VIESAC can store that result in an audit PDF.
When is a TRN shown as valid?
VALID means the FTA verification returned a legal name for that TRN. An explicit “not found” answer is invalid. If the FTA security code fails or the site does not answer, the check stays pending and is retried. It is not marked invalid.
Why is the company name hidden in this quick check?
Quick validation never shows the legal name. The full FTA name is stored only when you create a VIESAC audit and certificate.
Does VIESAC support bulk checks for UAE TRNs?
Yes. Upload UAE counterparties in CSV, call /api/v1/validate and /api/v1/audit, or monitor a TRN. The FTA does not return a consultation number.
