Singapore UEN Verification (ACRA) FAQ

What is the format of a Singapore UEN?

A Singapore UEN follows one of three standard formats: Format A (8 digits + 1 letter, e.g. 53123456B) for businesses; Format B (9 digits + 1 letter, e.g. 199201624D) for local companies; Format C (T/S/R prefix + 2 digits + 2 letters + 4 digits + 1 letter) for other registered bodies.

Can a Singapore UEN be checked in EU VIES?

No. Singapore is outside EU VIES. VIESAC connects directly to the official Singapore Government ACRA open data API via data.gov.sg.

What does VALID (ACRA) confirm?

Checks entity registration using ACRA data updated monthly. GST registration is not verified.

Why is the company name hidden in this quick check?

Quick checks do not display the company name. Create a VIESAC audit to save the official registration details and download a PDF certificate with technical evidence.

Can I check Singapore entities in bulk?

Yes. Use CSV uploads, the validation and audit API, or scheduled monitoring. Singapore registry checks do not provide an EU VIES consultation number.
