Проверка на белгийски EORI номер (Белгийски митници AAD&A / AGD&A)

Validate Belgian Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) numbers directly against official customs registries. Verify whether a Belgian BE EORI number is valid and active for import, export, IDMS / PLDA customs declarations, Port of Antwerp-Bruges maritime clearance, and ET 14.000 import VAT deferral.

✓ Queries official European Commission EOS and Belgian Customs (AAD&A / AGD&A — FOD Financiën / SPF Finances) databases in real time
✓ Instant verification: confirms active registration for Belgian import/export clearance and IDMS/PLDA declarations
✓ Displays registered company name and fiscal address when publicly accessible in customs records
✓ Crucial for Port of Antwerp-Bruges container logistics, Zeebrugge RoRo, Liège Airport cargo, and European distribution hubs

What is a Belgian EORI number (BE) and who needs one?

A Belgian EORI number (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) is a unique customs identifier issued by the Belgian Customs and Excise Administration (Algemene Administratie van de Douane en Accijnzen — AAD&A / Administration Générale des Douanes et Accises — AGD&A), part of the Federal Public Service Finance (FOD Financiën / SPF Finances). It is required for all legal entities and sole traders conducting customs operations in Belgium and the European Union.

Under Article 9 of the Union Customs Code (UCC), holding an active BE EORI number is legally mandatory for customs clearance of goods entering or leaving the EU customs territory. Belgium is home to the Port of Antwerp-Bruges — Europe's second-largest container port and leading chemical cluster —, the multimodal terminal of Zeebrugge, North Sea Port (Ghent), and global air freight hubs at Liège Airport (LGG) and Brussels Airport (BRUcargo). Without an active EORI number, goods cannot clear customs in IDMS or PLDA, triggering demurrage, storage penalties, and supply chain gridlock.

Belgian EORI vs. Belgian VAT (BTW / TVA) vs. KBO / BCE Number

Traders often assume that having a Belgian VAT registration or enterprise number automatically authorizes international customs declarations. While Belgian EORI numbers are built on the enterprise number, they belong to different databases:

Belgian Enterprise Number (KBO / BCE) & VAT Number (BTW / TVA)

Assigned by the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO / BCE). When activated for VAT with SPF Finances, it takes the format BE + 10 digits (e.g. BE0123456789). This registration covers domestic Belgian transactions and intra-Community supplies within the EU, but does not inherently grant customs clearance rights.

Belgian EORI Number (AAD&A / AGD&A / EU EOS)

Mandatory for extra-EU trade with non-EU countries (such as the UK, USA, China, and Switzerland). Consists of BE followed by the 10-digit KBO/BCE number. It must be explicitly activated in the customs register for filings in IDMS (Import Declaration Management System), AES (export), NCTS (transit), and container release systems like Certified Pick up (CPu).

A Belgian or foreign company must request customs activation of its EORI number through the official customs portal (MyMinfin / LOD). Holding a Belgian VAT number does not automatically create an active customs EORI profile.

Belgian ET 14.000 License (Import VAT Postponed Accounting)

Belgium offers a major cash-flow advantage for international logistics through the ET 14.000 license (vergunning artikel ET 14.000), which allows importers to postpone import VAT to their periodic VAT declaration instead of paying cash at the border. A valid, verified Belgian EORI number is a strict prerequisite for applying ET 14.000 deferral through direct or fiscal representation in Antwerp or Zeebrugge.

Frequently Asked Questions about Belgian EORI Numbers

What is the format of a Belgian EORI number?

A Belgian EORI number begins with the country code BE followed by the 10-digit enterprise number (KBO/BCE, e.g. BE0123456789). In some branch cases, a 12-digit format is assigned. Foreign companies without an EU establishment registered via Belgium receive BE + 2-letter ISO country code + 6 digits (e.g. BEGB123456).

Can I check by entering only the 10-digit KBO / BCE number without "BE"?

Yes. Our validator automatically detects 10-digit Belgian enterprise numbers (KBO/BCE) and prepends the BE country code before querying the official EU EOS customs registry.

Where do I register or activate a Belgian EORI number?

Belgian businesses activate their EORI number through the online portal of the Belgian Customs Administration (MyMinfin / financien.belgium.be) using eID or itsme. The procedure is free of charge.
