Επικύρωση Αριθμού EORI Σλοβακίας (Finančná správa — ISCEP)
Validate Slovak Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) numbers directly against official customs registries. Verify whether a Slovak SK EORI number is valid and active for import, export, ISCEP declarations, Dunajská Streda Metrans intermodal hub logistics, Bratislava Airport air freight, and Central European transit compliance.
What is a Slovak EORI number (SK) and who needs one?
A Slovak EORI number (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) is a unique customs identifier assigned by Finančná správa Slovenskej republiky (Colná sekcia / Slovak Financial Administration) to businesses, forwarders, and individuals carrying out customs transactions across Slovakia and the European Union.
Under Union Customs Code (UCC) Article 9, an active SK EORI number is mandatory for customs clearance when importing goods from or exporting goods to non-EU nations (such as Ukraine, the UK, Switzerland, China, or the USA). In Slovakia, this is vital for containerized intermodal cargo moving through Metrans Dunajská Streda (one of Central Europe’s major rail container hubs connecting northern ports and the Adriatic), air cargo at Bratislava Airport (BTS), Danube river transport in Bratislava, and eastern rail transit in Košice. Declarations cannot be lodged in the Slovak customs IT system (ISCEP) without an active EORI.
Slovak EORI vs. Slovak DIČ and IČ DPH (VAT Number)
Commercial entities in Slovakia often navigate three different corporate identification numbers:
Slovak DIČ & IČ DPH / VAT (Finančná správa)
Assigned for domestic taxation (DIČ: 10 digits) and intra-EU trade (IČ DPH: SK + 10-digit DIČ, e.g. SK1020304050). While the domestic DIČ forms the basis of the customs number, holding an active VAT number does not automatically activate customs permissions for third-country commerce.
Slovak EORI Number (Colná sekcia / EU EOS)
Assigned specifically for customs declarations. For Slovak companies, the format is usually SK followed by the 10-digit DIČ (or in certain cases the 8-digit IČO). It must be registered in the EU EOS database to be accepted by ISCEP.
Slovak businesses register for an EORI number through the electronic portal of Finančná správa SR using qualified electronic signature (ZEP) or authorized access. Non-EU companies register via the customs office at their first entry point into the European Union.
Central European Intermodal Crossroads and Metrans Hub
Strategically situated in the heart of Central Europe, Slovakia is a primary transit node connecting Western Europe, the Adriatic Sea (Koper, Rijeka), and Eastern trade corridors. Pre-validating Slovak EORI numbers ensures seamless container dispatch at Dunajská Streda and border crossings.
Frequently Asked Questions about Slovak EORI Numbers
Is a Slovak EORI number the same as a Slovak DIČ or IČ DPH?
For most Slovak companies, the EORI number is formed by prefixing the 10-digit tax number (DIČ) with SK (e.g. SK1020304050), identical in format to the IČ DPH (VAT number). However, VAT registration does not automatically grant customs clearance — the entity must be registered as an EORI operator with Colná sekcia.
Can I validate a Slovak EORI number by entering only digits?
Yes. Our validator automatically recognizes 10-digit Slovak DIČ numbers (and 8-digit IČO codes) and prepends the SK prefix to query the official EU EOS database.
How and where do I apply for a Slovak EORI number?
Applications are submitted electronically to Finančná správa SR via their portal (PFS — Portál finančnej správy). The registration is free of charge.
